From Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida, this is Poker Night in America. [MUSIC] Welcome to Poker Night in America. I'm your host Chris Hanson. Tonight I'll start by borrowing a phrase from Tom McEvoy.
Tom was the 1983 World Series of Poker Main Event Champion. And he once said, poker is not a card game played with people, it's a people game played with cards. In this episode, we return to the Seminole Hard Rock in Hollywood, Florida and I think you'll see from the action tonight Mr. McEvoy was right. So let's get back to the felt and check out of 25 50 people game with cards. [MUSIC] >> Both Dan Weinman and Shaun Deeb have bought in for the maximum of 20k tonight. Matt Russell's gonna get a start in with six seven of diamonds, a raise to $300. >> Shaun's just trying to get me riled up. >> He's gonna definitely bullpen the first hand like he did at Turning Stone. >> Well I put the double straddle on I have to go after it visit this website. >> Allen Richardson will call. Who are you, man? >> My name is Don. >> Hey, Don. You work here? >> Kinda high up here. >> Are you like the big guy? You're the big guy? Queen-Jack-Three, a couple of clubs. So an interesting hand here for Richardson and Weinman. You've got top pair, top kicker versus a flush draw. >> You got any chicks here that like to [BLEEP], like have [BLEEP] with [BLEEP] with old bald guys?. [LAUGH] >> $775. >> There's nowhere in the world does that exist. >> I've found them. >> Yeah. >> Where's Mike Beasley. >> I found them. [LAUGH] >> Funny thing is I've found them. >> Where is Mike Beasley? >> Yeah he'd actually be good for the show. >> Shaun I found them all over the world. >> And he lives here. >> Yeah he's at some point in the torunament. >> I found them all over. You know him he doesn't [BLEEP] bust tournaments. >> He's not a very good lookin' guy, he's grumpy as hell. >> Don't pick on the. >> And he gets, he gets more [BLEEP ]than anybody in the whole world, except for Dan Bilzerian. >> And a call from Dan Weinman. >> He helped Dan Bilzerian become Dan Bilzerian. >> One good thing about busting the tournament I gotta go golf with him now. I just need him to bust. >> Turn's a ten. >> Jean-Robery why you so grumpy today? >> He's being polite to them. They're playing a very big pot. >> Matt Russel the guy who has a zero percent chance to win the hand unless he can get them to fold, continues to bet a $1000 the bet on the turn, gets a call from Alan. And a call from Dan. So, our first pot of the night is over 6K in the middle. >> He's the inventor of fantasy land. That's pretty big time. >> And does Matt Russell have one more bet in him to try to take this pot down? >> All in. >> And he's all in for $2900. >> That's like a little over a half an envelope. [LAUGHING] >> Get ready for the hundred bucks. [LAUGHING] >> Yes! Ship it. >> Give me a hundred. >> I didn't snort! >> Yes you did! >> No I didn't! >> He snorted. >> No way. >> Absolutely not! >> That's a bluff. >> He snorted after. [SNORT] >> There was no snort. >> I didn't hear a snot, I was listening. >> No he said here it comes and he snorted right after here it comes. >> No he said here comes a hundred and he thought he was going to snort. >> No you snorted. >> I did not snort. >> You did, that was a snort. >> Yes. Thank you. >> 100% that was a snort. >> Alright. >> We can go to the cameras and you will agree with me. >> Okay guys. Can we go to the cameras and find out if I snorted there please? >> Get ready for the 100 bucks. [SNORT] [LAUGH] >> I did snort. Hey Hyman. You owe the money. >> He already paid em. >> I paid him. >> Alright Teach. Come on dude. Lighten up, loosen up man. Play a hand. Play a hand dude. >> I played one. >> Really? >> You did? >> When? >> Which one? >> When? Guys can you call back the tape and see if. >> I don't remember the hand. >> Can you call back the tape and see if Teach has played a hand. >> Gavin how many hands have you played? [LAUGHING] >> I thought you were supposed to be an outsider. >> He is oustide the circle. >> Just shut the [BLEEP] up, alright. >> What I do is I call attention on other people, so people don't notice how tight I play. >> Look at Hymen go. >> Hymen, you call him? >> I call him Hymen, cuz that's, like, funnier than Weinman. To me. >> And a call from Allan. >> Had the Hymen, you know Hymen. You know, I, I. >> I know what that is, yes. >> And the flop. Nine-seven-deuce. >> After a check from Dan, Allan bets 850. And a call from Mr. Weinman. >> I have no idea how much I paid for the cab here. >> Probably about 70 bucks. >> You actually paid for it? >> Wow. >> Must of I got out of the cab. I'm here. >> From where, Lauderdale? >> And a call from Dan. Another situation where their ace kings getting a player deep into a pot. >> And the river's a six. >> So do you go and play anywhere live? >> Ah, I was at Borgata a couple weeks ago. >> And they go check, check on the river. It's another $6000 plus put and this one is going to Allan Richardson. >> Calories. >> Pretty accurate? >> Yeah, it really is. Except if you do like low-impact exercises working out. Like if you do yoga it's not very accurate cuz it's, the too fluid of movement. >> Deos your heartrate, too? >> Yeah. >> Jean-Robert does a lot of yoga. >> God, I hope you get up soon. >> I think it does heartrate. There's a way to do it, I know it has to, because that's how it figures your, your calories, but I don't have it programmed for that. >> Let's gamble, boys. >>He only plays in the blinds. That's amazing. >> I just want to know what Gavin's gambling hands are. >> Are they your re-raising hands? >> Gavin Smith going to get involved in his first hand of the night, with Ace Jack. And his jack hits on the flop, he takes the lead. $450, the bet from Allan. Gavin calls. Eight hundred the bet from Allan back to Gavin. Gavin also picked up the nut flush draw so I don't think hes going anywhere. And now the river. That's a nine. Action's on Gavin. >> 2,000. >> Wow, Richardson will not let up. >> You said lets gamble. >> Yep. Well played. >> I bluffed Gavin in one big hand cause I knew the money meant a lot to him. Sorry buddy, but ah, I just knew he couldn't call 2,000 there, you know? Cuz he's on a limited bankroll. So when you're playing in a comfortable bankroll, it's real hard to be intimidated, you know? It's, it's just another reload. >> Sorry, Gavin. I'm just not sure how you beat a guy who's not afraid to lose. Nothing like a pocketful of reloads to give your game some swagger. Stick around, more poker, after this. Poker Night in America is being brought to you by 888poker.com. Where the world plays online. >> This is Poker Night in America and thanks for coming back to Seminole Hardrock, in Hollywood, Florida. >> I really don't think that Aaron's a very good camera man. I don't think he could get hired by anybody else other than Poker Night in America. >> If it wasn't for Poker Night in America, Aaron would definitely be on unemployment. I think he's a poor, I think he's a- [CROSSTALK] >> I think he's a very poor camera man. >> Your, your experience on the, show when you went to China? >> Oh, on Survivor. >> Yeah. It had to make you appreciate the smaller things. >> Oh, absolutely. I'm telling you, listen, I was completely miserable on the show. And when I watched it on TV, it was just, I, I can't even tell you how funny it was. I was like laughing. In tears. And you have all your friends and family, people who didn't even know you were going on the show, just like, wait a second, that's JRB, you know, and it's. >> He showed up China. >> It was interesting. It was, It was, It was. It was a solid life experience, for sure. >> But you wouldn't do it again? >> If they asked you about for like an all stars, you wouldn't go back? I mean, it really depends on like, you know, kinda the reward possibilities. >>And you know what the reward is. >> I figure the reward might be a little bit better for me than for most just because, you know, I got to cross over into the poker market and all. I don't know. >>Not much more though. And your reward's probably the million plus some sort of moderate sponsorship but you wouldn't get a huge sponsorship. >> Richardson checks and JRB's betting. >> I think you'd do it again. You should man you'd win. >> 1600 and Allan calls. He turned the straight but then Bellande rivered the flush. Jean-Robert scoops a $5400 pot. >> But I, I swear i was losing eight pounds a month just from, just from the no alcohol. The most difficult part was the wine. Not, not drinking wine at dinner, I mean. >> Yeah I, I couldn't do that.
